Kevin, the tallest minion of the three, wants nothing more than to be the hero of the story. What I really liked about “Minions”, is the fact that each of the three minions, Kevin, Stuart and Bob, have their own identifiable, recognizable and surprisingly human personalities. In order to impress the best female super villain, the minions have to go on a different quest, one that leads them to… Great Britain? Their quest takes them from New York City during the seventies, to Villain-Con in Orlando, where the minions meet Scarlett Overkill (Sandra Bullock). Three brave minions decide to try it one more time: Kevin, Stuart and Bob go on a journey to find their tribe the most evil boss on the planet. But after centuries of searching, the minions found nothing. It starts during the Stone Age, where the minions began their search for the ultimate boss to serve: he must be evil, he must be invincible and he must have patience. The follows the life-story of these little, yellow, pill-shaped guys wearing denim overalls and black gloves. Now they are back with their very own feature length film: “Minions”.Īs the title of the film suggests, “Minions” is about the minions. I wanna tell you, and I really mean this.Although they starred in supporting roles, the minions stole the show in the 2010 animation film “Despicable Me”. He'd been preparing for days, weeks, months. He was excited to share his idea with the tribe. If this continued any longer, the Minions would perish.īut all was not lost for one Minion had a plan. Years passed as the Minions forged their own civilization. The Minions had no other choice but to keep moving.Īnd then, when all hope seemed lost, they found sanctuary. One particular employer took their failure very, very badly. They bounced from one evil boss to another, but they never seemed to find their perfect fit. Their new master had a tendency to party all night and sleep all day. Their quest for a boss put the Minions front and center for some of civilization's most historic moments. The Minions took an instant liking to man, and helped him the best they could. He was shorter, hairier, and way, way smarter. Man was very different from the dinosaur.
With the emergence of the Stone Age came the rise of a new species. But keeping a boss, therein lies the rub. But that's not to say that they didn't have other passions.įinding a boss was easy. Making their master happy was the tribe's very reason for existence. To serve the most despicable master they could find. They're all different, but they all share the same goal.
Minions have been on this planet far longer than we have.
